Last Friday, I was fortunate to have reserved a place in Mediamatic's aquaponics workshop, in which participants learned how to build an ecosystem in which plants and fish help sustain each other. If that sounds random, it's all part and parcel of the Mediamatic vision: the arts center, whose events place an emphasis on interactive fun, conviviality and sustainability, has expanded from a media art outlet to an incubator for creative approaches to the future.
